Moonage Daydream

Moonage Daydream 2022

This biopic explores the musical and artistic legacy of David Bowie. Moonage Daydream is a vast introspective on Bowie’s creativity. The film doesn't concern itself with David Bowie’s effect on the world; it lives and dies inside his mind, and the decisions he made that impacted his art.

Every scene in the film is a mash of found-footage, vintage concerts and explosions of colour. Even some of the scenes that feel filmed cannot be confirmed to be one way or the other because the entire documentary is so sprawling. The film shows how documentary filmmaking is evolving faster than any other genre.

By the end of Moonage Daydream viewers will feel closer to the man than to his music.
